Introduction
I am an executive leader working at the intersection of games, animation, education, and cultural impact. My work is grounded in a core belief: the future of storytelling will be interactive, emotionally resonant, and increasingly central to how people learn, connect, and understand themselves in the world.
Over the past two decades, I have led platform transformations, portfolio strategy, and global operations across Microsoft, Xbox Game Studios, and the U.S. Marine Corps ,building the systems, partnerships, and teams that bring interactive experiences to hundreds of millions of people worldwide. At Microsoft, I directed one of the largest cloud migrations in company history, transitioning Minecraft Realms across 130+ countries and 126M+ monthly active users while delivering $1.8M+ in annual savings. At Xbox Game Studios, I led portfolio strategy and cross-functional readiness across publishing initiatives, embedding inclusive design as an operational standard — not a checkbox.
My 16 years of military service , including command of distributed operations spanning 1.3 million square miles, 180+ units, and 1,000+ personnel, directly shape how I lead today: with operational rigor, strategic clarity, and a deep commitment to building teams and organizations that perform under complexity.
I am particularly interested in how games, animation, and story worlds can evolve beyond traditional entertainment to become platforms for engagement, learning, identity formation, and cross-platform storytelling. My doctoral research at USC focuses on the power of interactive media and game design to support social-emotional learning and human development.
As founder of TechPicasso LLC, I invest in early-stage gaming studios and interactive media startups, building ecosystem partnerships across studios, platforms, and universities. As a strategic advisor to Kiro'o Games, I support one of Africa's leading game studios in scaling franchise IP, global partnerships, and transmedia audience growth , work that sits at the heart of where global entertainment is heading.
I endowed a scholarship at the USC School of Cinematic Arts to support the next generation of game developers and interactive designers because building the future of this industry means investing in the pipeline, not just the product.
I hold a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership and an MBA from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

My career across the U.S. Marine Corps, Microsoft, and Xbox Game Studios taught me that vision without operational infrastructure is just aspiration. Whether I was coordinating distributed operations across 1.3 million square miles or orchestrating a cloud migration serving 126 million monthly active users, the through-line has been the same: translate strategic intent into repeatable, scalable execution. I lead by building operating rhythms, governance frameworks, and cross-functional alignment — the invisible architecture that allows creative teams to do their best work at global scale.

At Xbox Game Studios, I embedded accessibility and cultural representation into publishing requirements, moving them from aspirational goals to operational checkpoints. I believe the future of games, animation, and interactive media depends on building experiences that resonate across cultures, languages, and lived experiences — not just the audiences we already know. When you design for 130+ countries from the start, you do not just reach more people. You build better products, stronger franchises, and deeper audience relationships that compound over time.

Through my advisory work with Kiro'o Games, I support the growth of African game IP on the world stage. My doctoral research at USC focuses on how interactive media and game design can support social-emotional learning, identity formation, and human development.
